The people from Santiago are family people and by general they receive with open arms to the travelers with children. (This is a blessing, since the children care services are generally limitated to the most expensive hotels). The children stay awake late and, they frequently join their parents to parties or restaurants, where they order regular menu instead of children’s. The main activities oriented to children here are entertaining activities instead of outstanding touristic interest ones. Give them their dose of Adrenaline and candy floss in Fantasilandia. An ideal place for good and clean entertainment is Parque Metropolitano, which combinates a modes zoo, two big swimming pools in the open air and a well maintained playpen, with an interesting transportation: a cable railway and a funicular.

The stimulus is more intelectual, but it keeps being entertaining, in Museo Interactivo Mirador. Forget about “don’t touch”: you can drive, push, lay down, or even get into most of the exhibitions. The education and entertainment also meet in Museo Artequin, a museum of copies of famous works of art hanging at the height of a child. If your childen like strange things, take a look at the dusty stuffing animals (we are talking about taxidermy, not about cuddly toys) in the close Museo Nacional de Historia Natural, where the exhibition have an aspect almost so old as the fossil they contain.
