Informally known as Tamango National Reserve, Lake Cochrane National Reserve, is the most distinguished home of the endangered huemules, the deer of the southern Andes that appears on the coat of arms of Chile. On the north shore with its namesake lake, the reserve of 6,925 hectares, lies six miles northwest of Cochrane. Admission to Guardería Húngaro costs US$2.75 per person.
